Web Designer / Developer

Impress is looking for a talented website designer who can execute creative design solutions for the web. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of web and graphic trends and is proficient in HTML, CSS, Flash, Photoshop and Adobe Premiere.

Candidate must have 4+ years of hands-on web experience — designing, building and coding web pages, be able to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment shifting priorities as needed. We are looking for an individual with creative thinking skills, a positive professional attitude and strong work ethic to contribute to our New Media departments’ continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

• Work with creative director, project manager and web programmer to establish and execute creative strategies for site updates and new projects.
• Work with project manager to provide specifications and costs for new projects.
• Website, interface and usability design (including Information Architecture).
• Create and execute creative concepts for websites that meet client needs and business goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Web Design, or related field
• 2+ years of Flash design/programming, must show samples of completed Flash projects
• should be proficient in HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS / style sheets and be literate in PHP and ASP
• Should have some experience video editing with app such as Adobe Premiere
• Design clean Photoshop mockups of various web layouts and design concepts
• Great sense of layout, experience with creating and working from wireframes
• Cross-browser compatibility expertise (PC and MAC); Must understand the challenges of various browser platforms to create universal web product.
• Experience with information architecture, user interface and navigation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of current web optimization and SEO techniques and best practices
• Working knowledge of W3C Standards
• HTML email marketing competency
• Experience in website production from brainstorm phases to final deployment

About The Company

A full service printing company featuring an 8-color perfector with double coaters, plus a 6-color UV press for printing on all substrates, complete pre-press, in-house bindery, die cutting, folding and gluing, emphasizing excellent quality and service.

About the Opportunity

We need a talented individual to fill the role of an experienced Sheet Fed Printing Sales Representative for our company. In this position, you will be the one who builds customer relationships; cold calls; establishes new accounts; travels in local territory; manages selling process from beginning to end; keeps management informed and contributes to team effort.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years Printing Industry experience
• Experience handling major accounts of 1 million in annual sales or greater
• Strong understanding of strategic sales process and account development
• Ability to develop rapport with clients and maintain strong working relationships
• Skilled negotiator. Negotiates discussions competently, making concessions while accomplishing goals and protecting interests
• Presents information effectively and persuasively
• Has a track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
